The New You Evolution

blogimage.12.30.13.jpg

It is the time of year when people put their focus and energies into a New Year's resolution. Admirable, yes. But often disappointing. We create the perfect set up for failure, dissatisfaction, disappointment and more. Yet, our intentions are always so filled with hope, eagerness and optimism.

How can you begin 2014 with a new you evolution instead of the old resolutions? What would the theme of your evolution be? This often brings about a positive impact into your life as opposed to creating a specific goal that has restrictions and limitations that feel as though you have to give up, sacrifice or go without. We feel expansive and open as opposed to feeling like we are being constrained or being forced to go without.

These types of evolutionary themes bring in a different type of energetic focus. Think about something you feel is lacking in your life, something you would like to change, expand, broaden, or become more positive about. It could be relationships, it could be mindfulness, it could be creativity, movement, nourishment and so on.

Now expand within these themes. Let's say I choose creativity. I sit down and think of ways working on my creativity could benefit my relationship with self and others, my living environment, my work, my spiritual practice, my body and more. I allow myself to explore all the possibilities and there are so many. I leave room for the magic and miracles that this positive energy will surely generate. I invite others into the wonderful gift I am bringing into my life.

Notice that there suddenly is an energetic shift to this focus. Not once have I looked at what I must go without. When we approach our evolution this way, letting go of what is not good for us, no longer serves us or creates blockages for us is easier because we want the fresh space, the room, the abundance of time and energies to make room for the aspects that will fuel our evolution! We find ourselves excited over this new focus.

With the embracing of a New You Evolutionary theme you will find that your body, mind and soul will resonate. You will find ideas bubbling up of what you want and need. Your body will be charged with the changes. Your mind will explore the adventure you are taking it on. And your soul will delight on the possibilities you are creating, inviting even more to the journey day by day as you discover the new true you rising forward.

Happy New You, Lisa

Transformation for the New Year

blogimage.12.18.13.jpg

As the New Year approaches I find myself thinking, as I often do at this time of the year, of things I would like to transform in my life. I believe in miracles. I also believe in the power behind creative energies. And I know that when I combine these two aspects to ideas, situations, projects in my life...the results are often amazing!

Miracles are often found in the company of magic. Magic is found in the beauty that surrounds our days. Being aware, being open and flexible and being willing to explore options is a terrific recipe for creating what feels like a miracle in your life! Things begin to shift, people stop and take notice, others are drawn in to the beauty and wonder. Before you know it an ordinary has been transformed into an extraordinary!

Creative energies become more powerful when we remove our expectations and our boundaries. When we can envision a different color, explore a new format, be open to a fresh aspect the creative energies begin to bubble to the surface and pop with a vibrancy. They explode with possibilities. They shimmer with hope. And we begin to see new ways of being.

The most important aspect to all this transformation is a bit more practical. It takes commitment to be on the look out for these energies. It means being engaged in the fulfillment of our transformations. It means living in the moment so that our perceptions are awake to the change and our consciousness is aware of what to release and what to embrace. Life is continually in a process of letting go and creating newness. The more we engage in this relationship, the more we focus our energies into the gifts of transformation. Then the more our life is in tune with creative miracles and wondrous opportunities.

The Stagnancy of Security

blogimage.12.17.13.jpg

Many seek security. They spend great time, money, energy and effort in bringing it into their life hoping that it will add a layer of safety, a blanket of comfort and afford them assurance. But too much security leads to stagnancy.

Security cannot exist if anything unexpected is going to happen to you. It can cause a denial of life and its creative energies. Some like to be in control of all aspects of their life. Not having this control causes them stress, fear and anxiety. They have not learned to trust themselves and their relationship with Source or the messages of their soul.

They like to know what is going to happen next and if it is something they do not want to have happen or like, they will make efforts to keep it from happening. Sometimes these efforts block the energetic flow of a gift heading their way. Sometimes the unfolding of a life event that is different from what you had planned is a life lesson with your name on it.

Frequently, there is great fear in the hearts of these controlling folks. They believe that the world is a dangerous place. For some it is, there is no denying that. But for most, it is not. They create a need to live a guarded life. They cannot withstand any kind of unpredictability. They want a sense of security, as though this will keep unfortunate things from happening to them. In fact, what it actually does, is keep great things, surprising things, miraculous, magical and joyful things from happening to them.

Often times, we know, what we focus on, where we place our attention is what we attract to our life. If we are living a life of fear, if we are constantly on guard and worried that the other shoe is going to drop or that the worst imaginable event is likely to occur, what then will be attracted to us?

How we choose to view the world has a huge impact on how we walk our path. If we view the world as a very dangerous place, filled with events, people and energies that are to be feared, we then limit our possibilities to have the beautifully full and wondrously vibrant life that is awaiting us. Choosing instead to see the world as safe, with some times in which negative can occur, we shift our attention on a life that will become filled with trust, love and abundance. Stagnation is often kept alive when we attempt to make our day far too secure.

The Paralysis of Fear

blogimage.12.16.13.jpg

Have you ever been faced with a decision where you truly were struggling with what to do? You get caught up in all the choices. You find fear creeping in and surrounding your thoughts with what if and what can go wrong. This fear can grow and mount and begin to pull the brakes on your personal power. You become entangled in the paralysis of fear.

Dale Carnegie once stated, ""You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. For remember, fear doesn't exist anywhere except in the mind." And it is so true. Your soul is ready for your decision, regardless of what it is. It knows that if it is the "right" choice, it will lead you further down your path, bring into light what you need to know next and challenge you to grow. Your soul also knows that if it is NOT the "right" choice, you will be led further down your path, light will be shed on what you need to know next and you will be challenged to grow! Amazing!

It is your mind that thinks there is a do or die aspect to making the right choice. It creates story after story of all that can go wrong, who will be disappointed, the shame, the blame the consequences etc. Your anxiety level can go off the chart.

But what if there are no wrong decisions? What if you chose exactly what you need next, even if it is not in alignment with what your brain thinks? What if you remain present and open, no matter what you choose? You will be given an experience that will add to your life in some way, it will teach you, encourage you, propel you in some way. Imagine the possibilities in this truth.

We each have incredible resiliency and strength far greater than we give ourselves credit for. How many times have you created a story around choices in your life, that should have resulted in extremes far worse than you can describe and yet, somehow, your survived? You managed to rise above. You managed to learn something about your self. Somehow you handled what you deemed to be the wrong decision. Even if it was in reality the right decision!

Celebrate the choices, live large, practice your intentions, honor your callings, embrace your passions and let all this be the influence of your choices. Step away from the paralysis of fear.
