Plug In Your Soul

Your soul thrives in connections. Think about the last time you were with a group of people who inspired you, challenged you and supported your expansion and growth. How brightly was your soul shining? Remember the last time you had your breath taken away by the beauty of nature. How full was your soul? Think back to a time when you felt love, deep compassion, grab a hold of your heart love that flowed through your veins and filled your heart. Remember how present your soul was?

This is how you experience your soul in our life. It steps up when you are plugged in and fully present. Each of those situations I shared above would have you fully aware, very present and awake. Your soul would be as well!

It loves connection because you then bring your attention to your words, your actions and your dreams. You are invested. You are ready to grow. You are willing to release. You are fully in your truth and open to the possibilities of life.

There is little room for ego when soul is present. The essence of you becomes filled with love, peace, grace, truth, wonder and more. Soul soaks up these energies. It uses these vibrations to propel us onto the next rung of the ladder, the next dream to manifest, and the next moment to embrace. You become more and more of who you are!

Knowing this about your soul allows you to take a step back and assess your life. Are you taking good measures to feed your soul? Are you in good company? Are you doing things that you are passionate about? Are you creating space to pause and reflect? Honoring your soul takes commitment and conscious awareness. It requires you to show up and be present. It means you keep your eye open for the beauty in life.

How will you nurture your soul today? What will you plug it into?

Embracing the Grounding in Your Life

How do you keep yourself from getting caught up in the chaos of life? How do you keep grounded? What do you do to not let the frazzled energies creep into your own vibrations? How do stay true to you, your choices, your vision and your truth?

Over time I have learned that there are definite ways that I keep myself grounded. It has taken consciousness and awareness. But it is also so aligning to what I want and hope for that the choices become easier and easier to make as my life shifts more and more toward what I want and need.

Living simply is step one. I choose to not get caught up in the drama of the frantic life. I purposefully slow down, create pause in my life, and make time for simple pleasures. I invest in relationships that support this lifestyle.

I embrace my soul and all its messages. I lean into my personal soul growth, looking for ways to expand and learn. I listen closely to the messages and lessons. I take an active role in my spiritual development.

I give back. I find sharing with others helps keep me grounded. Rippling out the energies of love, the act of giving, the sharing of life brings a beautiful balance to my days.

I censor what I take in. I often go on news fasts, I rarely watch movies, I am selective about what I read and what I listen to. I pay as close attention to what I feed my mind as to what I feed my body.

I no longer look at struggles as problems. I embrace challenges, knowing that these are opportunities for me to grow, become more of my truest self and to learn so much about what life has to offer me.

I also am an active member of my community. Many of the members of my tribe are like family to me. My heart is invested in our relationship. I seek to offer my support and lean into them when I need their guidance or celebration. Having a solid network of people in one's life adds a richness to each life experience.

Everyday I seek the beauty of my life. It is a shift in perspective that makes a difference in the way that one views life. There is beauty in everything around us, we just often do not take the time to notice it, to appreciate it or to celebrate it. Slowly with time we become blind to it. Within this beauty are the everyday miracles that surround us.

Finally, I find grounding energies to tap into when I seek the silence in my life. Stillness and pause are a vital part of my day. Without them I cannot recharge, I drain, I make poor choices and I am not my brightest self. Silence and stillness are now a part of each and every day for me. Some days, it is only a few minutes, but quite intention filled. And then there are the other days where I consciously choose to set aside a date with myself in glorious stillness, quiet breath of nature and little to no outside interference.

My life is fuller and richer these days. I am not scattered or overwhelmed. I rarely find myself feeling at a loss or shutdown. These simple steps of awareness and focus have brought a grounding to my days. Within this energy I find vibrancy. I find grace. I sit with peace and contentment. I see beauty around me.

Heeding the Messages

The Universe is always reaching out to connect with me. I have learned to bring my awareness to this most important conversation that is often ignored by some. It is often expressed in subtleties and symbols. Guidance can come through signs. Encouragement often manifests through synchronicity. Beauty and inspiration shared in the silence found in nature.

The Universe does not always send out its conversation starters with loud booms or flashing neon lights, though it can! Sometimes it is in the whispers of the wind, in the gentle touch of an old friend, in the lines of a poem or a image within a dream. It will continue to try to gain your attention, to share its messages, and to honor your truth.

But as with any conversation, you must be present as well. Are you listening? Are you asking questions? Are you engaged? In the busy-ness of life sometimes people check out. They are asleep throughout their day. The wonders of the conversation pass by them and they miss it. Or they are so rattled by their own thoughts and the details of their story that they are unaware.

We all have the opportunity to be a part of this universal conversation. You simply need to find what works for you. Do you need to slow down? Do you need to be more present? Maybe you need to be more silent? What is distracting you?

Knowing how to be a participant of this conversation will open doors to your soul. It will bring inspiration to your day. It will invite creativity into your actions. The Universe will bring supportive energies to your lessons and you will find a flow to the steps you take. Being present to this conversation allows your receptivity serve you. Things fall into alignment. Your heart open. Your mind find peaceful thoughts. Your body resonates. And your soul sings!

Step By Step

Let's face it, we all know that in order for things to change in our lives we have to start doing things differently. Whether it is in our actions, our beliefs or our words that we are changing, we can only begin and be in this one moment. But sometimes we get so caught up in the amount of change we need to make that we become overwhelmed and stuck.

Instead of focusing on where I am hoping to get to, I focus on one step at a time. Each step affirms my intent. Every journey, no matter whose it is or where it is going, involves one step at a time. Step by step.

When my focus is on each step I remain aware. I am open to the moment. I see the lessons and gifts along the way. I listen to my soul's response. I feel what I am letting go of and what I am embracing with tremendous presence.

Also, by giving my attention to each step, I do not fall into the slippery black hole of comparison. It does not matter what anyone else is doing on their journey. It is not a race. It is not a contest. When I focus on each of my steps I see my path unfolding in front of me and am able to walk within my own truth and authenticity.

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." There is such wisdom in this statement. I don't need to see the whole picture. I don't need to worry or plan. I just need to bring my energies to this moment, this one step, holding this one intention. My soul feels the balance, the patience and the wisdom of this approach.

What always amazes me is when I practice this approach it is not long before I can acknowledge just how far I have come! It is amazing how with each step I become more of who I am with grace and fluidity. There is little struggle to this approach. There is no regret. There is an openness of possibilities.
