The Many Roles of You

There are the givers and the takers, the movers and the shakers. We all play different roles throughout our days of our lives. Regardless of the role, the energy we bring to it, the way we approach this role has so much to do with how engaged, receptive or present we are. We have the choice to be fully present or to be absent and resentful.

We all hold times where we are doing for others and then those times are balanced with others doing for us. Both are equally important. Neither should be done begrudgingly. Bringing our pure authentic energies to these roles creates beauty and flow. Each role can create acts that are gifts to the relationship.

Whether we are in a place of nurturing or witnessing, it is important for us to bring our appreciation to the moment, to bring our gratitude to those we are engaged with, and to explore the possibilities of the outcome and all its potential. Approaching our roles with this positive perspective allows lessons to flow, energies to expand, and generates forward movement of beauty and grace.

This fullness of energy awakens within us a sense of integrity and a satisfaction of service. It also brings alignment to our body, mind and soul. With this alignment we put out the welcome mat to those who we are meant to meet, to attract and to dance this magical dance of life with. The people and circumstances that become a part of our day bring richness and wonder. By bringing our best to every role we hold, we allow the Universe to create possibilities, to shower abundance and to gift us with lessons that will amplify the brilliance of this lifetime in very powerful ways.

Down Time and The Gifts To Be Found

blogimage.3.11.14.jpg

Vacation, rest, pause, or holiday. Each of these words may bring a different image to one's mind. But to the soul they all hold the same energetic vibration; down time! Our soul recognizes that our body and mind is functioning within a world of busy-ness. Sometimes we are just so busy that it hurts! Our soul pokes at us until we cry, "Uncle" and hit the pause button.

Many times I will hear from my clients that they have no time for down time, for "me" time or for any kind of stillness. Yet, they have come to me for support, release, or healing of some kind. Their soul has managed to convince their heart and body that this is a dire need.  It is trying to get the mind on board as well. Our thoughts are incredibly powerful. They will try to justify and rationalize. If we want our thoughts to work in our favor we have to entice our mind.

The mind likes to solve problems. Often, the way around this denial of downtime is to ask the brain to come up with creative possibilities for the hidden down time. Entice it to seek the elusive moments throughout the day that can be embraced. We often think that our down time needs to be scheduled, mapped out and of a certain duration. But the truth is a few moments here and there does the world of good.

Moments spent in traffic can create an opportunity for some deep breathing. Standing in line at the grocery store repeat an affirmation or a mantra until it is your turn in line. Waiting on hold on the phone listening to boring music; stretch your body. Folding a load of laundry; check in with your guides or angels.

Bringing connection to the resources that honor and celebrate your soul does not need to be an act of labor. It does not need extensive planning, purchasing of a group pass or even your calendar. It simply needs awareness and creativity.  Entice your beautiful mind into the equation. Allow it to expand with creative ideas and honored as you embrace them.

On The Day You Were Born

blogimage.12.20.13.jpg

On the day you were born there was a powerful celebration. All the angels and guides surrounded your sweet new soul brought into this body. Together they gifted you with treasures to carry you through your life's journey.

One angel presented you with the gift of laughter so that lyrical delight would ring out from you. Another brought the gift of breath so that you could whisper wondrous words of support and breathe in all the delicious aromas and scents of this world. One guide gifted you with respect so that you could bring this into your relationships with all things and beings and have it mirrored back onto you. One angel shared the gift of fierceness, knowing you would need it at times to stand your ground.

On and on, one by one, the angels and guides stepped forward and showered you with gift after gift. Your little body glowed with the essence of them all; grace, vulnerability, wonder, passion, silliness, acceptance, joy, flexibility, determination, peace, resiliency, and insight. On and on into the first night of your little life they came, one after another, to be certain that you would be bestowed with all the unique gifts you would need to bless this world you were entering.

They knew of your greatness. They knew of your promise. They awaited your arrival and the celebration had begun. Together they gathered to cherish you and to honor the being you were and would become.

The final angel stepped forward and gave the very last gift they had brought. It was the gift of self-love. And it was said, "May she always use this gift wisely and generously, it is the spark that ignites the power of all the other gifts. It is the fire that will fuel them. It is the softness that will allow them to expand. It is the strength that will support them in times of need. This last gift is where the seeds of her true beauty will grow and flourish."
