Wasting Time

file000475651684I really have an issue with wasted time. I don’t mean to sound bitchy, but I really do. There is so much I long to do in this world, so many places to go, people to see, acts of service, lessons, gifts, possibilities…and I don’t want to stop! Nor do I want to waste the precious time we are given in each lifetime with pettiness. Life gives us opportunities to make good use of this lifetime, and for me, every day counts! Living authentically awakens your soul and shows you how to be present in the moment. To explore it fully. To squeeze the last drop of its juicy-ness out and enjoy it thoroughly! We all have those days where we end it curled up in bed asking ourselves what did we actually carry out or do in that day. I want each day to be filled with intention. That does not mean I have to be working furiously and on the go continuously either. If it is a day of pause, that is important and can be intention filled as well! I just don’t want the day to be mindless and without any consideration of how it is best serving me on my path.

We are all gifted with the chance to share our calling or gifts. Part of that sharing means learning from our path. Taking the time to refocus, to find our purpose, to learn from our missteps or mistakes is all part of that process. Living fully and with awareness brings great intention to everything we do and say. I love that!

Finding our sacred purpose in life and owning every minute of it brings our soul to the day and we grow and file0001959782973shine brighter than ever. If we begin each day this way, we learn to ignore the things that are so distracting and worthless to our growth and forward movement. We don’t need to play with that negative energy or with that draining force. Instead we turn our attention back to the empowering opportunities that will feed us with the life force we need to live the life we have been gifted with in a healthy way for our body, our mind and our spirit.

Things Will Never Change...

It seems lately that the same phrase keeps rolling off my tongue in a variety of conversations, “Things will file000694490244never change unless you do things differently”. I have said it at least six times in the past three days. And each time the situations and the circumstances were different. Stop for a minute and think about it. Isn’t it the truth? When we feel stuck, the best way to get the energies flowing is to step off the beaten path and look for ways to create a new path. Staying in a place of stuck and complaining or fretting or getting angry over it….that gets us nowhere.

It takes a bit of bravery, a little courage to do this. I am not saying that it is easy. We find comfort in the familiar, even when the familiar is not really working for us. Creating a new path may take some calculated risks, it may take some asking for support, it may take some pause and reflection and NOT doing…and sometimes these are scary things for us.

To pull a new key out of our pocket and open a door that has been locked to see what we need to face on the other side is not always a choice one is happy to make. It takes hard work, it takes honesty, it takes truthfulness and it can be exhausting. But what if it is worth it? What if that is the very next step to reaching your greatness, your potential, to embracing your next lesson, or to receiving your next gift? What if?

file3641250388816Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is something we are not taught in life very often. We live in a very complacent society. The same old spins around and around. Living beyond the expected takes great intention and focus. It takes a healthy soul that has been tended to and cherished. It takes community that offers inspiration. All of that takes time and effort too. But, I ask myself, I ask you…if not all that, then what is left? The same old, same old. And I am up for the adventure of life. I am answering of the call of service. I cannot do it any other way, nor do I want to. Life is too short each time around. It is time to do things differently. So let this time be full!

The Truth of Happiness

“There is one great truth on this planet: whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really file0001190356464(1)want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe.... The soul of the world is nourished by people's happiness.”
- Paulo Coelho

Reading this quote above makes my heart smile! The soul of the world is nourished by people’s happiness! Imagine that! That awakens within me the desire to be a part of someone’s happiness. It makes me wish to move gently and with the flow, to observe and respond with love, to celebrate and recognize and to encourage and support. When I am in service in this way, my soul resonates as well and I am nourished and I begin to see the possibilities before me of what I am longing for, striving for and working towards. It is an amazing equation of grace and simplicity.

Yet we often forget it or lose sight of it, at least. We become bogged down by life’s complications. We become diverted by unnecessary needs. We become weakened by our fears or our negative beliefs. And we begin to stumble, lose momentum, and our positive life force wanes.

I am creating ways, this year, to pay attention and remain focused on what serves me and my goals and dreams. And since they revolve around being in service to others through Spirit, the path is light and filled with love, my steps are better grounded when taken with grace, and my heart is filled with compassion and strength as I reach out to do my work.

stairsThis year, I choose to live in my truth, in the truth of this planet and of the universe. I choose to believe good things are meant for me and that I am to do good as well. I choose to be open to the possibilities that have not even shown up on my own personal radar yet. I choose to live the life designed for me and to get out of my own way, to pull the brakes on the negative thinking or beliefs, to be brave enough to wear my personal power, to be humble enough to continue learning and growing and to be rich enough to give whenever and wherever I can. What a blessed year this shall be!

Possibilities and Dreams

I begin the New Year thinking ahead to what this year could hold. So many possibilities! A favorite quote byfile9051261658656 Robert Moss excites me on this day, "The futures we dream are often possible futures. They don't necessarily have to play out. They are fit within an order of probabilities which we can change according to our willingness to work with dream information and take appropriate action." Imagine the possibilities. To begin this year not letting doubts and fears box me in! To begin this year expanding upon the ripples of energy. To begin this year with appropriate action that is in alignment with where Spirit is guiding me. To begin this year finding the messages and tools within my dreams and bringing them to the day with intention and insight. Imagine the possibilities!

We all have the potential to be the creators of our future. We should not sit beside the road waiting for the next person to stroll by and tag along. We have the power and the gifts within to launch ourselves far into these beautiful possibilities! So what happens? What stops us? Mostly, our selves, I think. We worry that struggle will hurt or that if we make a mistake we have failed somehow. But if we can accept that all of that struggle, every mistake or failure is part of the BIG picture of our possible future and is necessary to its creation…we need to take that leap of faith.

rainbow(1)This will not be a year of holding back. Nor will it be a year of blaming others or other situations for what is “not going right” in my life. I release that thought pattern and that negative energy. This year will be filled with the manifestation of dreams, the exploration of possibilities and the embracing of my potential. I will lean into the wind, not turn my back. I will leap off the branch, not cling with my last grip. I will dream big and not be small. I am excited to BE this year. There is much to do, to be in service of, to offer, to share, to receive, to love and to wonder! Join me!
