Listening to Your Own Truth

From a very early age we meet up with people who claim to know what is best for us. And, reasonably, when we were younger this was mostly true. But as we go through our life we are given ample opportunities to listen, to learn, to explore and to engage. From these opportunities we learn to listen to our truth.

The insights of others, though at times helpful, cannot compare to our own individual awareness and the answers that are within us. When we come into this world we come with our individual wisdom that is unique to us only. It is the perfect gift of energies, intuition, discernment and more. As we add life experience to this it grows more and more powerful. The more we use it and rely upon it the better it serves us.

Our truth fits only us all of the time. It does not let us down. It does not set us up. It is our universal connection. It bridges our soul's energies, our life experiences and our inner wisdom. It helps us to identify danger, to place focus on our values and to fuel our inspiration.

Our truth is one of our very strongest and most powerful tools. The better we get at using it, the more familiar we become at listening to it and the more confident we are in its authenticity the more it will serve us. As our consciousness grows and expands, so does our truth.

A Wealth of Wellness

Are you someone who spends a good deal of time taking care of the needs of others? Do you put yourself at the end of the list? A beautiful gift to bring to your self is a day of wellness and healing. We all carry within us a seed for healing. When you nurture this and tend to it, giving it focus and the time and attention, you will find that it awakens healing energies and wellness within you.

Setting aside a day of wellness and healing for your body, mind and soul brings tremendous benefits to your life. Finding ways to address your vital needs brings your energies into alignment and awakens newness and vibrancy. Actually, just the awareness that you are putting aside time for YOU creates a spark of wellness.

I encourage clients to set aside time, whether it be once a week, once a month...everyone's needs are different. But when you book this special day with yourself you will find that you begin to make plans and set intentions. Think about what the day will include. Will you spend it in a special or favorite location? Will you share it with someone whose company you enjoy? Will it include certain activities?

Think of what your body needs? Rest? Recharge? Movement? Nurturing? Release? Once you know this you can move forward with your intentional day of wellness. Think of music that could support your needs? Perhaps certain crystals, flowers, aromas, or foods? A long walk, a massage, a day of play in the water...what makes you smile just thinking it over? Go with that!

The more you map out this day of wellness, the more the needs of your body, mind and soul will be revealed. The more you create intention to meet these needs, and the more doors will open to healing energies and revitalization of your overall well being.

Bringing your wellness into harmony is important to the way you honor your body, mind and soul. Recognizing that you have the right to be put first on the list and that it is worthy of the time and effort. This sends important messages to you and to others around you.  Cultivating wellness should not feel like a luxury, but instead a necessity as you awaken your awareness to your energetic needs, your body's balance and your thoughts' focus.

Warning Signs

blogimageD.5.2014.jpg

Do you know your warning signs? Are you aware of your red flags? Do you listen to them? The Universe wants for us to succeed, to move forward and to grow. That is not to say we won't face struggles or have challenges. Many times those situations are where some of our best lessons wait for us. They are important stepping stones to our evolution.

But there are those times when our gut tries to gain our attention. There are those moments when our intuition grabs us. These are moments when we can pause, tune in and then reconsider. The better our connection to our inner truth and to our soul awareness the stronger these signals are.

The act of tuning in is a choice. It may mean stopping what we are doing. It may mean changing direction or course. It may mean not doing what we had planned. This all can create disappointment and even cause others to chime in with their opinions. Regardless, we learn with time that not paying attention to these warning signs can be costly.

Our ignoring these messages is almost always followed with regret. Paying attention to these signs is part of the journey. They are put there to help move us in the direction of our truth, which is not always what we "think" is what we need or where want to go. Hindsight offers the awareness that these red flags are really very important and should hold an importance in our decision making.

Reassessing and reconsidering are skills that are important for our life path. Bringing our awareness to them and staying in the moment helps to create room for them in the flow of the day. When those red flags pop up, look at it as a way of the Universe or Source looking out for you and providing you with opportunities to adjust your settings for the right course.

The Beauty of Slowing Down

Life passes quickly. A fact we learn as we move through our life. The days of childhood long gone as well as the feelings of a day lasting a lifetime. Now, I find that the week no sooner begins and I am looking at Friday! It is not that I am over busy or over worked. But my life is full! There are many things I am involved in with passion and delight.

I am not one to rush through things. I like to savor moments. I like to enjoy the energy. I like to be present. When I do take the time to slow down I notice my focus shifts as well. I become a more attentive listener. I offer more of my heart to the moment. I pick up on nuances that would otherwise be missed.

Slowing down also helps me to be more efficient and effective in my tasks as well. Sloppy errors rarely happen. I am tuned in and I pick up on things that could go amiss before they actually happen and I am able to intervene.

My natural rhythms flow when I slow down. I tend to be a rather grounded person and so when I am going at my own natural pace my energetic vibrations match. As I bring this to the many activities of my day I find I get more done, am very awake and aware and enjoy my way through the day. Slowing down helps me to maintain a balance in my life between the doing and the being.

Slowing down, whether it be at work, food preparation, eating, moving or in conversation creates space for magic and wonder as well. It allows me to check in with Source and be in the moment. It allows me to share this beauty with others.

Our world is fast paced. It can be chaotic and frenzied. But I can choose to be within my own energetic vibrations and live a life that fits my flow. When I do, good things happen. When I do, I feel whole and complete. When I do, I bring my best to what I do. There is great beauty to be found in the slowing down.
