Potent Perspective

We are very fortunate to have a life that allows so many possibilities. Nothing is written in stone. If we remember this, we then place ourselves in position to allow new perspectives to be a part of our focus.

Then next time something is occurring in our life that is not going the way we want it too, or the next time we feel we have limited options, we should try shifting our perspective. To keep our vision one sided eliminates so many possibilities. We need to practice stepping away from the view we have a tendency towards and find a new one.

The best way to do this is to become familiar with our focus tendencies. Do we tend to see things in a very linear fashion? Perhaps we like to think about how our decisions will impact others and we get caught up in that. Maybe we are someone who places so much attention in the tiny details that we cannot see the big picture. It is completely normal for most to approach a decision, a task or a problem from a certain angle. There is nothing wrong with any of these view points, unless it is keeping us stuck, struggling or frustrated. Use those signs as red flags!

If we have a red flag waving around, that it is the perfect time to shift perspective. We have potent power in this perspective maneuvering! It actually can become comfortable and feel very positive to stop and pause and explore all the possibilities, instead of jumping right in with our expected knee jerk reaction. Seeing things from new angles strengthens our ability to practice trust, listen to our intuition, and follow our truth.

Doing this often allows a new light to be shed on the situation. It allows us to explore, to use different skills, to engage with different energies. It is not always done without effort, but it does become easier with time. We have great power in within us that can aid in our choices, our decisions, and our efforts. We do not have to do it the same way every time, actually it is best we don't. So the next time we hear our self saying, "This is how I always do this" we need to pause and seek a different point of view. We need to see if approaching the moment with a different perspective changes your outcome, how we feel, what we need or what we do.

Listening to Your Own Truth

From a very early age we meet up with people who claim to know what is best for us. And, reasonably, when we were younger this was mostly true. But as we go through our life we are given ample opportunities to listen, to learn, to explore and to engage. From these opportunities we learn to listen to our truth.

The insights of others, though at times helpful, cannot compare to our own individual awareness and the answers that are within us. When we come into this world we come with our individual wisdom that is unique to us only. It is the perfect gift of energies, intuition, discernment and more. As we add life experience to this it grows more and more powerful. The more we use it and rely upon it the better it serves us.

Our truth fits only us all of the time. It does not let us down. It does not set us up. It is our universal connection. It bridges our soul's energies, our life experiences and our inner wisdom. It helps us to identify danger, to place focus on our values and to fuel our inspiration.

Our truth is one of our very strongest and most powerful tools. The better we get at using it, the more familiar we become at listening to it and the more confident we are in its authenticity the more it will serve us. As our consciousness grows and expands, so does our truth.

What Road Shall You Take?

blogimageB.5.2014.jpg

We often say we are on our path; spiritual path, path of passion, path of beauty, or path of service. These paths help us transition through the layers and levels of our growth and expansion. There are times when we are not sure what direction to choose next. What road should we take to get us to the next place in our life for fulfillment, happiness, and awareness.

For me, checking and listening to my soul is the best way to receive my directions and clues. These clues often lead me to places of expansion that transcend my biggest dreams, go beyond my deepest longing and challenge me to reach further than I thought I could. My soul knows where I need to go, what I need to get there and who I will meet along the way. Learning to trust these intuitive messages takes time, but with repeated practice and awareness, I have found my way.

My soul brings forth my fearless juices. I steep in these and find my creativity, my ideals and my hopes. I journal, I dream, I dance, I sing into being my next steps, my next path, or my next journey. Choosing the next path becomes easier. The signals are clearer. My understanding is deeper.

One step at a time leads me to the next direction. Being in the moment and being present helps me navigate the twists or turns that may present. Remaining open to the possibilities that may occur brings wonder and a certain excitement to each day. Rarely, if ever, am I bored or overwhelmed. Always, I am engaged and feeling alive!

The Soul Will Guide

blogimage.4.30C.14.jpg

I recently was guided by my soul to explore a new tool to use in my shamanic practice. I was working with a client who was suffering emotionally and unable to let go of the pain. The fear of what was behind the pain was a place she could not visit in her state of agitation and suffering. I knew her soul was seeking healing. I knew it was ready to become whole once again.

My service to her was to try and find a way to bring her soul to this new state of being, to help in the healing of the wound, and to find peace. I opened myself up to my soul's wisdom, trusting that it would guide me. I found a comfortable flowing energy waiting for me to move in.

I picked up my drum; my long trusted friend that had often helped me in my healing, my grounding and my releasing.  I drummed matching her breathing which gradually began to be more controlled and slower, and so the drum beat responded in kind. Then within my being I felt her energy, I felt it filling the room, I felt it flowing and rising, ebbing and flowing.

Song rose from within me, tones and notes building with each drumbeat and vibrations wove their way through. Swaying in the flow of the energy this soul song rose from my being and filled the room. Gentle tones of healing were released. Heartfelt notes of peace where shared. The room expanded with the energy of the soul's healing.

My client relaxed, tears flowed, peace filled her being, her soul opened up to the healing and became whole once again. The beauty of the moment was larger than the both of us. The energy that was created was timeless. From here her healing would continue, from here her soul could be alive and vibrant, and from here the pain and fear was released.

I still have much to learn of this new tool. I trust my soul will guide me. I am open to its medicine. I am excited to see its power. I am honored to be introduced to it. Little did I know that moment that I picked up my drum what was waiting to become. When we learn to trust our soul, when we allow it to guide us and we are open to the energy of what it brings...magic happens, grace appears and the energies flow.
